The Picture Of Music

Sometimes I wish I could capture music with one shot. Not a video, not a film...just capture the feelings that you get from a sound, the same way my camera can capture the feelings of a moment.

But, until I can, just imagine to yourself the quiet of the railway station, the strum of a guitar, and the quiet of a moment.

And you might just hear it.

Portraits In The Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but taking photos is so delightful...

...so since it's so beautiful...
...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

These last few weeks we've had more snow than we usually get at Christmas, so a few people have taken advantage of it by requesting some photo shoots! I had a brilliant time, and here are the results of our labours.

This is a family photo shoot that became very festive! We had santa hats, Christmas stockings...

...and a rogue elf.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas...okay, new year then! It still feels like Christmas to me!

Ice and Frost

There is nothing like those wintry beauties, ice and frost. They have a remarkable ability to alert us to the brightness of colour…

…cause brittle tree branches to stand out stark against the light…

…and make a simple bridge a storyland.

Then the mist comes down, and things appear a bit more ghostly…

…so we share the beauty with people, and the mist swirls about and creates a perfect backdrop for them…

…and the snowy bridge becomes a place to dance.
Enjoy the beauty of winter.
